Sixth Form Bursaries
With kind support from Old Waconians and wider members of the CHS community, CHS offers a range of Sixth Form Bursaries for students wishing to study a particular subject area at the School;
Awarded to pupils with a keen interest in pursuing a career in engineering, The Paul Sinclair STEM Bursaries provides four fully-funded Sixth Form places for students wishing to study Maths and at least two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Design & Technology. The Sixth Form STEM bursaries have been generously funded by Old Waconian Paul Sinclair, Class of 1970.
A new Sixth Form Art Bursary has been made possible for a talented artist who has attended a local state school to join CHS for the Sixth Form, with thanks to a generous donation from a North West art lover. The Art Bursary covers all fees for one student as well as a contribution towards transport costs, the cost of uniform and participation in an overseas Art Trip plus a focused pastoral support system to help the students fully participate in Sixth Form life.
In addition to the School’s means-tested financial assistance, pupils who demonstrate outstanding sporting potential in a major sport in which the School competes may be selected to join CHS Sixth Form on the High Performance Programme. Ability in the major team games Netball, Football, Hockey, Rugby and Cricket would be advantageous, but other sports offered at the School including Athletics, Cross-Country, Swimming, Badminton and Tennis will also be considered.
The Bursaries will be awarded to individuals whose families can demonstrate financial need and that they could not otherwise afford to send their child to Cheadle Hulme School. More information about this can be found here.
