Annual Celebration 2013
A year of success and achievement was celebrated with prize-givings, music and speeches in the prestigious surroundings of The Bridgewater Hall, at this year’s Annual Celebration.
“CHS has a responsibility to be alert to the world around it and to the trends that are influencing that world,” said Head, Lucy Pearson in her opening address to students, parents, governors and friends of the School, who filled the Hall for this year’s event.
The School’s orchestras, choirs and vocal group, Encore captivated the audience with stunning performances as photographs and video from the School year were presented on-screen.
The School Council led the speeches, highlighting notable individual and group achievements from the year before prizes were given out for academic achievement, sustained effort and accomplishments in specific subject areas.
Concluding her opening address, the Head said: “CHS had another strong year in 2012-13 and as we recount the highlights, I hope that you all feel proud to be part of this School – a School that does not necessarily seek to do things as others seek to do them.”
