Cheadle Hulme School at the Manchester International Festival

Artistic talent at Cheadle Hulme School went under the spotlight on the international stage, when the School held an Art Sale and Exhibition of current and former students’ work at the Manchester International Festival.

Taking place at The Glass House on Festival Square, at the heart of this year’s festival, the Exhibition was attended by students, Old Waconians (former students), parents, families and friends who enjoyed viewing the diverse range of work on display.

Some of the pieces were commissioned especially for the exhibition and all proceeds from the Art Sale, which took the form of a sealed bid auction, were directed to The Bursary Fund, ensuring a Cheadle Hulme School education remains accessible to children from all backgrounds, regardless of financial means.

Head, Lucy Pearson said: “We are very proud to have had the opportunity to display the stunning work of current and former students at this year’s Fesitval; a unique platform for them to showcase their outstanding creativity.

“We are delighted to be Corporate Members of MIF15, celebrating the city’s pivotal role in music, culture, innovation and the arts.”
