Cultural in the Capital
Year 5 pupils took in a wealth of history and culture in the country’s capital on an educational residential trip to London.
The group of 50 nine and ten year-olds visited well-known tourist attractions, alongside significant historical buildings and monuments on a packed two-day tour.
The Tower of London, the Natural History Museum and Hampton Court Palace gave pupils an insight into times past, as well as a visit to the world famous Globe Theatre, where the group also took part in drama workshops.
The dramatic fun continued when pupils obtained tickets to see the popular musical, Wicked in London’s Theatreland.
Junior School Teacher, Miss Ruth Garrett, who helped lead the visit said: “This is a new trip for the Junior School and was a great success. All the pupils and staff had a wonderful time.”
