Girls Rein at Regional Qualifiers
Equestrian at CHS continues to come on leaps and bounds as this year, for the first time, two teams have qualified for the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) Championship Finals.
Qualifying in the Under 13 Arena Eventing and Showjumping categories, the girls will go up against the best riders from the rest of the country at the prestigious competition at Addington Manor Equestrian Centre, in Buckinghamshire, this October.
Rebecca Rennie, Cara Nash, Isabel Ashworth and Mia Kearney De-Vent led the herd at the regional Showjumping qualifiers, in Staffordshire, whilst Cerys Macaulay joined Rebecca, Cara and Mia to triumph in the Arena Eventing qualifier, which took place at Southview Arena, in Cheshire.
The students’ accomplishments maintain the long history of successful equestrian exploits at the School, with two previous individuals winning in the Dressage National Finals and another crowed national Showjumping champion.
The first CHS team entry in the National Finals will see 30 members of the teams’ family and friends travel south to show their support for the girls who are, as one parent commented, “uncontrollably excited”!
