Learning to Lead
Leaders of the future were put to the test during a day of outdoor pursuits at Holcombe Moor Training Camp.
Twenty recently selected Upper School Captains took part in team-building exercises and challenges over obstacle courses and climbing walls, helping to build relationships and hone their leadership skills.
Upper School captains are responsible for organising events and coordinating the School’s Year Book, representing the upper years of the Senior School.
Year 10 student, Caitlin Haworth said: “The training day helped us become more confident with each other, making friends with people who we perhaps didn’t know that well.”
Fellow Upper School Captain, Jack Boyd said: “The day started with a one and a half mile run which we though was a joke at first! The activities were great for motivation though and you really felt like you achieved something.”
