The Under-12 Netball team finished a successful season on a high, becoming Stockport Schools Champions and winners of the South Manchester League.
The team netted their way to victory in the Stockport Schools Tournament in March, storming through their group matches to a tough semi-final, beating local rivals Stockport Grammar 8-3 and meeting Cheadle Hulme High School in the last game of the day.
With a team which includes many club players, CHHS were no mean opponent but the Cheadle Hulme School girls came out on top, winning 7-5 and gaining the Stockport Schools Champions’ trophy.
The following day the team gained similar success, finishing as runners-up in the County Tournament. Acting Head of Girls’ PE, Miss Clare Greenwood said: “The girls deserve to be very proud of themselves and their performance, to become Stockport champions and Manchester County runners-up in the space of two days – what an achievement!”
