CHS's Class of 2018 are ready to take the next step towards their chosen careers after achieving an impressive 99.2% pass rate at A Level.
The students are now preparing themselves for their first semester at some of the country’s leading universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, and Manchester, overseas in the USA and will embark upon sought-after industry apprenticeships across a number of fields including Business and Economics.
Topping the School’s results table, Oscar Jones lead the way receiving 3x A*s and 1 A, with Mansi Dhokia, Genevieve Jeffcoate, Maria McCusker-Garcia and Eddie Michael all receiving 3 A* grades each.
Cheadle Hulme School Head, Lucy Pearson said: “I am absolutely delighted with this year’s results: they are great news for the students, the staff and the School as a whole. With 80% A*-B, we continue to strengthen our academic outcomes whilst remaining committed to providing an education that encourages the development of every young person in academic, active and altruistic fields.”
80% of students at the School received grades A*-B – a 5% increase on last year’s success; 5 students were awarded an outstanding 3x A*s or higher, with 16 students achieving D1-D2 (equivalent to an A*) at Pre-U.
