Our Promise to Donors

Since Cheadle Hulme School was founded in 1855, providing education to children from all backgrounds regardless of financial means has been central to its ethos. The need to provide funds for means-tested bursaries continues to remain a priority and is one of the key aims in the School’s Development Plan. It is therefore absolutely critical to increase the financial resources to achieve the School’s mission. There is also a need to raise funds for capital projects to preserve and enhance the School’s environment to benefit our current students and to ensure a legacy for future generations.

In our fundraising practice we promise our donors and all our stakeholders that:

We are honest and open

  • We are clear and truthful when stating our need for funds

  • We are clear about who we are, what we do and how your gift is used

  • We give a clear explanation of how you can make a gift and amend a regular commitment

  • We promptly acknowledge every donation, respect the wishes of those who wish to remain anonymous and honour all restrictions placed on donations

  • We are committed to transparency, details about our fundraising activities are displayed on our website and in our Annual Donor Report

  • We are happy to answer your questions about our fundraising because we believe every supporter has the right to know how their donations are being used

We are accountable and committed to high standards

  • We comply with the law, including those that apply to health and safety and the environment, and adhere to the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018

  • We do not share your details with any other charities or third parties and keep records of donations safe and confidential

  • We will not accept donations where we identify a potential conflict of interest with the donor
