Oxbridge Question Time
Aspiring academics grilled Old Waconians on all matters Oxford and Cambridge during a special question and answer session for students considering applying to two of the country’s most prestigious universities.
The Oxbridge Information Evening was attended by Senior School and Sixth Form students and their families and offered a first-hand view on the rigorous application process and in-depth interviews, as well as the day-to-day life of a student at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
The panel included a number of Old Waconians who have recently commenced their studies or are about to take their first lectures; Ella Bucknall, Charlie Troup and Matt Winter (all Class of 2012) who study at Oxford, Mark Selby and Jamie Billington (also Class of 2012) who are at Cambridge, Beth Price and Nicky Watmore (Class of 2013) who both gained places at Cambridge this year and Olivia Widdowson (Class of 2013) who now studies History at Oxford.
The evening is part of a special programme of events and extension classes at CHS for students looking to take on the demanding selection process and gain much sought-after places at the two Universities.
