Pirates and Prizes
Pupils and parents took time to celebrate many years’ worth of successes at the Year 6 Leavers’ Ceremony.
The annual event is held to mark the end of an era for Junior School pupils, who all received book prizes at the Ceremony in a Hall packed with proud parents and families.
The event culminated in a rib-tickling production of Pirates of the Curry Bean, as all the pupils told the story of two bumbling crews’ search for treasure and their merry mishaps along the way, receiving a standing ovation from parents who were dazzled by the superb performances.
Pupils were congratulated by Junior School Head, Mrs Barbara Bottoms who said: “The many successes of the year group are testament to their determination, maturity and good humour, both as individuals and as a group.”
