School Thai Cooking
Classes had an added spice in the Junior School when Year 6 pupils mastered the art of Eastern cooking with Mr and Mrs Wakefield from Chilli Banana Thai Restaurant.
Pupils produced and prepared their very own spring rolls under expert guidance, following workshops and presentations on the food, spices and culture of the Far East, as part of their class project.
With ingredients donated by Chilli Banana, the budding chefs created their own take on the popular classic and presented them to a panel of judges.
The final products were judged on taste and presentation by Mr and Mrs Wakefield and representatives of the School’s caterers, Sodexo, as well as on pupils’ introduction of their dishes and knowledge of the cuisine.
