Supporting the Manchester International Festival
Creativity at Cheadle Hulme School will be under the spotlight on the international stage this summer, when CHS will be the first school in the country to become a supporter of the Manchester International Festival.
The School will join with the Manchester School of Art, the University of Manchester and the University of Salford in becoming the only educational institutions to support what The New Yorker called the “most radical and important arts festival today.”
Director of Development and External Relations at CHS, Fran Kennedy said: “Becoming a Corporate Member of the Festival will provide a number of exciting opportunities for students throughout CHS, providing an insight in to production rehearsals, a chance to experience new arts events and joining the likes of Maxine Peake, Damon Albarn and Gerhart Richter in showcasing their own outstanding creativity.
“Manchester International Festival is the world’s first festival of original, new work and special events and we are proud to be a part of it.”
