A World of Chocolate
Easter came early for Year 10 Food and Nutrition students when they discovered the secrets behind creating chocolate eggs and other sweet treats at Cadbury World.
Over 40 students visited the heart of British chocolate in Bournville and were taken on a fact-finding tour of the history of chocolate across the globe, before reaching the production line.
The group witnessed the various production techniques used to produce their favourite snacks, including moulding, enrobing and shelling, the method used to create hollow Easter Eggs.
Any visit to Cadbury World isn’t complete without a tasting session to end the day, which all the students enthusiastically enjoyed!
