A Choc-tastic Trip to Cadbury World

Year 4 were given an insight into the life of a chocolatier when they swapped a day in the classroom for a trip to Cadbury World.
The pupils boarded the coach and headed to Birmingham. Upon arrival, they watched a presentation called “Bean to Bar” about how chocolate is made and spent time looking at different shaped chocolate moulds. There was even chance to try on an item or two of the factory worker uniform.
Interesting fact; the cocoa travels to 3 different factories in total before being made into a chocolate bar!
After lunch, the pupils took a walking tour of the factory and exhibition, learning more about the history of the Cadbury company and watching how the chocolate bars are assembled.
One of the trip’s many highlights was the 4D Chocolate Adventure cinema experience when the pupils enjoyed a film featuring Freddo and a whole host of Cadbury characters – right from the comfort of their motion seats!
CHS Junior School Teacher Miss Bottoms said: “It was an action-packed day – full of adventure, fun and learning!”
