Alderley Edge Festival Success for Cheadle Hulme School Performers

Cheadle Hulme School students swept the boards at this year’s Alderley Edge Music Festival, with individual and group wins across a number of dramatic and musical competitions for both Junior School and Senior School students.

Topping the performing podium were Genevieve Jeffcoate in the Young Thespian category, the School’s two Senior School String Quartets, Kirsty Dixon in two solo piano categories and Year 4’s Alex Gardiner for his solo brass performance.

This remarkable trophy haul was supported by further second and third place wins for the School.

The Junior School String Quartet came second in the Small Ensembles Class, backed-up by the Junior School String Group who reached third place in the Large Ensembles Class.

Individual successes came for Scarlett Appleby and Alice Brown who achieved joint second placements in the Solo Brass competition, Year 7’s Harry Brown who came third in the Solo Piano contest and Mimi Jackson who also reached third place in the Solo Brass category.
