New House Captains for Junior School

Pupils in the Junior School have elected 8 new House Captains at the School’s Spring Term elections.
With just days to prepare, Year 6 pupils had the opportunity to stand in front of their fellow house members and persuade them why they should be given the House Captain’s badge.
Each candidate spoke confidently whilst addressing their classmates before individual votes were passed back to class teachers for counting.
The House Captains for Spring Term are:
Heywood: Samaira & Jacob
Langworthy: Amy & Joe
Watts: Grace & Samuel
Westhead: Jack & Holly
Junior School Deputy Head Mr Malcolm Johnson said: “It will be a busy term for our new House Captains with lots of inter-house sports competitions as well as the house quiz. There is also the usual collection of house points and generally setting a good example for their fellow pupils, something that our House Captains have always done well.”
He continued: “All the candidates showed courage and confidence delivering their speeches, well done to all who took part.”
