International Partnerships

We are proud to be an international school, representing our local communities in the south of Greater Manchester but also confident of our place in the global community. Our students represent over twenty different languages from all over the world. We encourage our students to embrace the opportunities presented internationally, both through our extensive range of trips but also through our partnerships with schools and other organisations around the world.

It is impossible to put a value on spending time abroad to develop other perspectives and we are delighted to offer CHS students a range of possibilities.

  • Lower Sixth students can spend an extended period at the school (2-3 weeks).
  • Participation in the residential summer camps.

Requirements: The Year 9 Exchange is open to Year 9 students of Spanish who are prepared to fully embrace the philosophy of an exchange, accepting that they will be taken out of their comfort zone as they experience another culture for a week and invite their exchange partner to live in their culture for another week later in the academic year.

Lower Sixth students can apply to spend an extended period as a student at SEK, where they will follow selected components of the curriculum which compliments their learning back at CHS. They will also have protected time to keep up with their CHS work. This opportunity is open to students of any sixth-form subject combination.

The residential summer camps are a great way for our students to immerse themselves in Spanish whilst carrying out a full programme of activities.
