“Thank you for the opportunity you have given to our Year 5 children to visit your school to take part in science lessons. Having access to your expertise and science resources has really brought the subject to life for the children and they always return to school full of enthusiasm for the scientific investigation. I really appreciate you giving up your time for the children. They always feel very welcome”
Headteacher, Cale Green Primary School
Our Primary Outreach Programme sees staff and Year 12 students learn how to teach and deliver a specialist project in a local state primary school.
Having received very positive feedback from our partner primary schools, we have now expanded our programme to work with 4 additional schools in the local area, including: Thorn Grove, Cheadle Heath, Lum Head Primary School, and Hursthead Infant School.
To maximise impact in each primary school, we have created bespoke programmes that are designed to respond to specific needs, including requests for Modern Languages, Music and Science.
CHS has also gifted books to local schools and has invited their pupils to attend Author Visits, Drama and Music performances, as well as lectures for parents and teachers, and the Annual Heritage Day.
