Fees FAQs
How do I pay fees?
Cheadle Hulme School strongly prefers payment using a Direct Debit for fee payments. The Direct Debit form is available here or you can request a form from Finance@chschool.co.uk
The fee is an annual fee which is split over three invoices that coincide with the start of each term. Fees must be paid in full before the first day of term, via Direct Debit or bank transfer. Please contact the finance office for bank details.
Can I spread the cost of fees?
Parents can set up a Direct Debit to spread the cost over 10 months (the Direct Debit must start in September).
What is included in the fees?
The fees cover all tuition and exam entrance costs with the exception of a Food & Nutrition charge when the students take this subject in Year 8. Additional costs are listed below.
What additional cost can I expect when my child starts School and during their time at School?
- Uniform
- Lunches – recorded daily using a ‘thumb print’ at a fixed cost per lunch (£4.95 per day from September 2024)
- Digital Device – Senior School & Sixth Form only
- Trips (including the Year 7 residential)
- Buses / transport to school
- After School costs for Infant/Junior School (PS, I&J)
- Infant/Junior Holiday Clubs – only available for students of Cheadle Hulme School
- Optional miscellaneous items such as calculators, stationery and revision guides are offered for purchase and your child will sign for these
- The school will participate in charity events where we ask for a small nominal donation that will be put on your fees invoice or a payment through Parent Pay.
- Any unreturned library books and textbooks will be charged to your account
- Food & Nutrition charge for centrally purchased ingredients from Year 8.
- Please note that some support for costs of uniform, academic trips above £50 and a digital device is available for pupils in receipt of Financial Assistance.
How do I pay for the additional costs outlined above?
Some items will be invoiced separately but the majority of items are requested for payment via ParentPay.
Can I receive information about food / lunches my child is buying during the day?
Yes. Please contact the Finance team (finance@chschool.co.uk) for a breakdown of the costs.
My child is under 5 years old. Can I use Local Authority Early Years funding or Childcare Vouchers to pay part of the fees?
Yes. Please contact the Finance Office to discuss individual arrangements.
Can I pay full fees in advance?
Yes. We have in place a long-standing scheme to enable the payment of fees in advance, where we estimate an annual fee rise, to generate a lump sum payable. We currently offer no discount. Please contact the Finance Office(finance@chschool.co.uk) for further details of our Fees in Advance Scheme.
