What are the GCSE entry requirements for CHS Sixth Form?
Applicants require a minimum total of 56 GCSE points across 9 subjects (or an average grade profile around Grade 6/7) to demonstrate suitability for A Level study. In addition, students must meet specific subject-grade prerequisites. Typically a Grade 7 or 8, in the subjects they wish to study at A Level.
How do external students apply for Cheadle Hulme School Sixth Form?
External candidates must submit an online Sixth Form Application Form via the CHS website. The admissions process includes an interview, a review of predicted GCSE grades, and a reference/report from the student’s current school. All offers are conditional on final GCSE results in August.

What is a pathway?
The Sixth Form Pathways at CHS aim to meet the needs of students with specific career ambitions and provide our students with the skills, experiences and aspirations needed to succeed in a competitive world of work. Students choose from Pathways in the Creative Arts, Enterprise, Sports, Medical Sciences, Modern Languages, Core & Social Impact and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths).
Is financial assistance available for entry into CHS Sixth Form?
Yes. CHS offers means-tested Financial Assistance (bursaries) covering between 10% and 100% of school fees for external students entering Year 12. Assistance is based on family income, assets, and financial circumstances.
