The Future Ready Pathways connect academic learning with what comes next. Through careers guidance, mentoring, real-world experiences and the global Old Waconian network, students explore their interests, develop professional skills and gain greater insight into the opportunities ahead.

This future-focused preparation sits alongside rigorous and ambitious academic study. Students are challenged to think deeply, explore ideas with curiosity and develop a genuine love of learning beyond examinations.

With individual support throughout, students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to progress to university, a degree apprenticeship, overseas study or employment and to succeed on their own terms.

Known and Supported

SIXTH FORM WELLBEING

Greater independence comes with a strong network of support. Students are known individually by their tutors, teachers and pastoral staff, creating an environment in which they feel understood, supported and able to grow in confidence.

This support includes experienced non-teaching student managers and a dedicated safeguarding team, ensuring that help is available whenever it is needed.

Our dedicated Sixth Form Centre gives students the best of both worlds with the freedom to be independent and the support of being part of a vibrant school community.

There are spaces for quiet study and collaborative project work along with a café and spaces to socialise with friends.

Relive the joy of the Class of 2025 Graduation and get a true sense of the CHS Sixth Form community. This annual event is a celebration of friendships, memories, and everything that happens between the lessons.

Our students leave as Old Waconians, part of a vibrant alumni network that stays closely connected to the School. From inspiring talks, career mentoring to interview preparation and university guidance,  Old Waconians play an active role in shaping the Sixth Form experience and supporting the next generation.
