Our pupils consistently achieve strong GCSE results and we take pride in celebrating the achievements of every Waconian, a testament to their commitment and the supportive environment we provide at CHS.

In 2025, 46% of all grades were awarded at 9 – 8 and 65% at grades 9-7. There were outstanding results from the sciences to the creative arts, demonstrating the wide ranging talents and interests of our pupils.

Alongside academic studies, Waconians maintain commitments to school sport, music, drama, community service and much more.

A Level Results

A springboard to new adventures and opportunities

Students from the Class of 2025 achieved exceptional A Level and BTEC results, reflecting their talent, hard work and the wide range of opportunities they have embraced during their time at CHS.

76% of grades were awarded at A* – B and 94% of grades at A* – C.

Students also achieved outstanding grades in additional qualifications on top of their A-levels, including EPQ with 76% graded A* – A, Core Maths and the Arts Award.

Over 75% of students secured their first choice destination. This year’s wide-ranging destinations include leading universities such as St Andrews, UCL, Leeds, Cambridge, Nottingham and Newcastle, alongside highly competitive degree apprenticeships with KPMG and AJ Bell as well as study opportunities in the US.
