These results open the door for our students to take up their first-choice destinations at universities, on highly competitive degree apprenticeships or to study overseas.
Among this year’s highest achievers, Sam gained a full suite of 4 A*s to secure a place at the University of Cambridge to study Natural Sciences. Rahul also achieved 4 A*s and will take a place at UCL to study Mechanical Engineering.
Ridha achieved 3 A* grades and will head to Lancaster to study Medicine. Three further students, Joe, Luiseach and Dan achieved 2A* and an A grade.
The breadth of destinations reflects the diversity of interests and ambitions within the year group, from Social Anthropology at University of Edinburgh (Head Pupil, Kate), Music Production at Leeds Conservatoire (Christian) to Politics, Philosophy and Law at University of Warwick (Dan), Fashion Communication at Northumbria University (Maya) and Politics and French at University of Bristol (Francesca) to name a few.
Three students have secured places on highly competitive degree apprenticeship programmes at KPMG (Mollie), A J Bell (Toby) and DSmith (Eva) and a further three will continue their studies overseas.
Head, Lee Richardson: “We are enormously proud of the Class of 2025 for their excellent academic achievements and the way they have embraced every opportunity to contribute to our School community and beyond during their time with us. They have shown remarkable character and I know they will go on and have successful careers beyond CHS.”
BTEC students also enjoyed strong success. Emily achieved D*D*D*, securing a place to study Sport Management and Coaching.
Academic Deputy, Nick Axon: “Today is a wonderful opportunity for teachers and students to celebrate the commitment and hard work that have brought such impressive achievements for the Class of 2025. Students have also stretched themselves academically with outstanding grades in additional qualifications on top of their A-levels, including EPQ (76% graded A* – A), Core Maths and the Arts Award. We are all delighted to see the Class of 2025 take the next step in their journeys.”
94% of grades are A* – C, 76% of grades are A* – B, 40% are at A* and A.
