Students in the Sixth Form recently welcomed Brooks Macdonald for a series of engaging and practical talks focused on careers in investment management and ‘real life’ financial skills.
As part of the School’s wider Sixth Form enrichment programme, the sessions were designed to give students a clearer understanding of the financial decisions they will face beyond school exploring topics such as budgeting, saving, tax, and long-term financial planning.
This collaboration forms part of the School’s developing partnership with Brooks Macdonald, extending beyond their support of rugby to provide valuable educational experiences for students.
Mr Mike Jones, Head of Sixth Form
“Our Sixth Form enrichment programme is designed to ensure that students leave CHS not only with excellent academic outcomes, but with the confidence and knowledge to navigate life beyond school. Opportunities like this allow students to engage with real-world topics that will have a direct impact on their futures”
Dave Mulholland from Brooks Macdonald said “It was a pleasure to spend time with students at CHS and to contribute to such a well-rounded Sixth Form programme. Building financial confidence at an early stage is incredibly important, and we were impressed by the level of engagement and curiosity shown by the students. We are delighted to support initiatives like this that help prepare young people for life beyond education.”
