CREATIVITY IN ACTION
The Arts help to unlock curiosity, originality and independent thinking in every student.
ENCOURAGING STUDENTS TO THINK DIFFERENTLY
Whether it’s singing in our School choir, performing in our theatre productions or exhibiting work at the Manchester Art Fair, our students are encouraged to explore their creative potential and share it with the world. Regular musical performances at the Royal Northern College of Music, visits to concerts, theatres or exhibitions give students real-world opportunities to develop their voice, confidence and artistic identity.
Alongside our curriculum in Art, Music, and Drama, our co-curricular and enrichment programme provides opportunities for students to discover new creative passions. At Sixth Form, the Arts Pathway offers tailored experiences for those seeking a future in the creative industries, combining practical work, industry insight and talks from creatives.
Regular concerts, showcases, productions and exhibitions take place throughout the year.
Not only do our students exhibit their work at Manchester Art Fair, they meet and network with international artists who are now friends of the school. Ultimately, being involved with the fair breaks down barriers that might limit the students’ belief that they too could one day showcase their talent at a world class event space like this; our students feel that they belong there!
