Shaping the Journey Beyond CHS

Our careers support is as individual as our students and is designed to reflect their interests, ambitions and future goals. 

Whether they are heading to university, exploring study abroad options, applying for a degree apprenticeship or entering the world of work, students receive personalised, one-to-one guidance throughout the UCAS process alongside mock interviews and CV preparation. Students also benefit from an incredible network of connections from our alumni and parent network.  

Destinations

BEYOND CHS

Our leavers consistently go on to exciting and diverse destinations, with around 70% securing their first-choice  university, a highly sought-after degree apprenticeship or study abroad.  A significant proportion head to Russell Group universities. Recent cohorts of students have headed off to study courses ranging from Medicine, Law, Costume Design, Business, Biomedical Sciences, Fine Art. 

In recent years, students have secured degree apprenticeships in leading companies such as Land Rover, Rolls Royce and PwC. 

Let’s CHat Careers

EVENTS

Our regular Let’s CHat Careers events give students the chance to take a closer look at specific sectors. Each session features a panel of experts who share their career journeys and insights, followed by informal networking opportunities where students can ask questions and build connections with professionals working in the field.

Beyond CHS Lectures

COMMUNITY

As part of the Sixth Form experience, all Upper Sixth students attend a fortnightly Beyond CHS lecture, an inspiring talk from a guest speaker designed to broaden horizons and spark new thinking. From social enterprise to artificial intelligence and from global politics to entrepreneurship, the sessions introduce our students to new ideas and career paths they may never have considered.

The CHS Community platform connects students with our global Old Waconian network where they can begin to build their own network early, tapping into advice, mentorship and work experience opportunities
