This programme supports high-performing athletes to balance their sporting ambitions with academic study. It includes expert coaching, strength and conditioning sessions, sports psychology and nutrition, helping students to train at a high level while developing time management and resilience.
The EPQ gives students the freedom to research a topic of their choice and produce either a dissertation or a creative piece. It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore an area they’re passionate about, develop independent study skills and demonstrate critical thinking, all of which are highly valued by universities.
Further Mathematics is an additional A Level typically chosen by only the most confident mathematicians, studied alongside the standard Mathematics A Level. It deepens your understanding of pure maths and explores new concepts like matrices and complex numbers. This qualification is extremely valuable for students who intend to pursue mathematics or a science-related subject at university level.
Global Perspectives AS-Level is a skills-based course designed to prepare students for positive engagement with our changing world. Students broaden their outlook through the critical analysis of, and reflection on, issues of global significance. This unique programme helps develop highly transferable skills in research, critical thinking, and communication by following an approach to analysing and evaluating arguments known as the ‘Critical Path’.
The TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Level 3 course qualifies students to teach English abroad in entry-level roles or to work as an online tutor. This online course supports you in developing key practical skills like lesson planning, classroom management, and effective teaching techniques.
SPORT AND BUSINESS
We have a strong track record of success in the BTEC in Sport, with students regularly achieving top grades. This alternative qualification provides a vocational pathway into the sports industry, combining practical experience with theoretical learning. It equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for careers in coaching, fitness, sports science, and sports management, while also preparing them for university and further study. Our students also benefit from strong links with local professional clubs across a wide range of sports, offering real-world insight into the industry.
We also offer Business BTEC, which students can study alongside A Levels. The course provides an option for students who wish to focus on real world projects and applied learning.
