Why CHS Sixth Form?

Future-minded. World ready.

CHS Sixth Form is where independence flourishes, horizons widen, and futures begin to take shape. It’s a busy, vibrant community where students are supported and challenged in equal measure, encouraged to get involved, explore their interests, and take pathways that will shape their future. I’m proud to work alongside an outstanding team of teachers who help every student succeed, while preparing them for future learning and successful careers.

We’d love to welcome you in, so you can experience CHS Sixth Form life for yourself.

Our Sixth Form Community

sixth form life

Relive the joy of the Class of 2025 Graduation and get a true sense of the CHS Sixth Form community. This annual event is a celebration of friendships, memories, and everything that happens between the lessons.

Our students leave as Old Waconians, part of a vibrant alumni network that stays closely connected to the School. From inspiring talks, career mentoring to interview preparation and university guidance,  Old Waconians play an active role in shaping the Sixth Form experience and supporting the next generation.

Supporting every next step

Future ready

Whatever our students choose to do after CHS, we make sure they feel confident, informed, and supported every step of the way. Our tailored programme of UCAS guidance and one-to-one career advice helps our students secure entry to their chosen next step.

A growing number of students pursue degree apprenticeships, explore studying abroad, or take bold alternative routes and we support them all. Through our strong alumni network and access to professional mentoring and placements, every student builds the skills, insight and connections to succeed on their own terms.

A SPACE OF THEIR OWN

Our dedicated Sixth Form Centre gives students the best of both worlds with the freedom to be independent and the support of being part of a vibrant school community.

There are spaces for quiet study and collaborative project work along with a café and spaces to socialise with friends.
