It has been a hugely successful Spring Term for CHS Sport, with national titles, county honours and individual representative achievements.
The headline achievement came as the CHS U16 netball team were crowned England Netball National Champions, securing the title in a dramatic final decided by a golden goal after extra time.
This success was mirrored at the Sisters in Sport Finals in Loughborough, where both the U18 and U16 teams secured national titles, underlining CHS’s strength on the national stage.
There has also been significant success in football this term, with both boys’ and girls’ teams progressing to and winning finals. In the Stockport Schools competitions, hosted at CHS, the U12 and U14 girls’ teams were crowned winners, alongside victories for the U14 and U16 boys’ teams.
CHS pupils have also excelled in cricket, with both the U13 and U15 girls’ teams winning their Indoor County Cup competitions. Both teams will now go on to represent Cheshire at the North of England Finals in April.
Alongside team success, a number of pupils have achieved notable individual honours. Year 11 pupil Thea represented her country at the U17 Netball European Championships, competing against some of the best young players in Europe.
In climbing, Lower Sixth student Sienna secured 1st place in the Year 11–13 category at the Independent Schools Climbing Competition, demonstrating exceptional skill in a highly competitive field.
