CHS Proud to Support Inaugural Stockport 10K

About CHS, Community News

We had a wonderful day at the first-ever Stockport 10K, with a team of staff, parents and Old Waconians taking part as runners and volunteers at the inaugural event!

CHS sponsored the 6K marker, a fitting milestone that reflects CHS’s ambitious 1 in 6 Campaign, which aims to increase the number of students who benefit from a life-changing bursary education. Throughout the morning, the CHS team was on hand to cheer on participants as they reached the halfway point of the course.

The inaugural Stockport 10K which started and ended at Edgeley Park, brought together thousands of runners of all abilities to celebrate health, wellbeing and community, while showcasing the very best of the borough.

As a school with deep roots in the local community, CHS was delighted to play its part in supporting an event that encourages people of all ages to come together, challenge themselves and celebrate everything that makes Stockport such a special place to live and work.

“We’re incredibly proud to be supporting the first Stockport 10K. As a school, we believe in the importance of being an active and positive part of our local community, and this event is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate everything that’s great about Stockport.

“Sponsoring the 6K marker felt especially meaningful as it reflects our own 1 in 6 Campaign, which is helping to create life-changing opportunities through bursaries for talented young people. It was wonderful to see members of the CHS community getting involved”
