The Gift of Friendship
Some of the most important friendships in life begin at School
Christmas 2025
We see this every day in the way younger pupils look out for each other, in the bonds formed in classrooms and on sports pitches and in the joy of Old Waconians reconnecting after years apart.
This Christmas, we are taking a moment to celebrate The Gift of Friendship at CHS and to reflect on how we can help more people find a place where they belong.
We’ve asked pupils, staff and Old Waconians to share what friendship at CHS means to them and why Christmas is the perfect time to be grateful for the people who’ve walked alongside us.
Take a moment to watch, remember your own CHS friendship and reach out to an old friend this Christmas.

The 1 in 6 Bursary Campaign
Through our 1 in 6 campaign, we are working to open the door for more children to join CHS, grow in confidence and form the friendships that shape their lives.

Madlug
Our ongoing collaboration with Madlug is another reminder of how important it is for every young person to feel seen, valued and that they belong.
