Congratulations to the Class of 2026 who are celebrating outstanding A Level and BTEC results today as they prepare to take up places at universities, apprenticeships and other destinations across the UK and beyond.
This year 80% of grades were awarded at A*- B, with nearly 50% at A* – A, reflecting the hard work and commitment of our students throughout their time in Sixth Form.
There were some exceptional individual performances across the year group, with two students, Charlotte and Lucien achieving 4 A* grades. Both are heading to the University of Oxford to study English Literature and Chemistry respectively. Sophia will join Lucien studying Chemistry at Oxford after securing A*A*A.
Other standout achievers included Hannah, who achieved 3 A* grades, securing her place at the University of Surrey to study Paramedic Science and talented musician Oscar is heading to a music conservatoire after also achieving 3 A* grades. Gonzalo achieved 3A*s and an A and will be heading to university in Madrid.
34 students – or a quarter of the year group, achieved a clean sweep of 3 or more A*/A grades.
Further destinations for some of the year group’s highest achievers include Imperial College London to study Design Engineering (James 2 A* and 2 A grades) , University of Leeds for Dental Surgery (Zoe 2 A* and 1 A grade) and Loughborough University for Architecture (Aisling 1 A* and 2 A grades). Sport BTEC results were equally impressive, with all but one grade awarded at Distinction level.

The Class of 2026 have worked incredibly hard, but they have also contributed enormously to the life of our school and the wider community. Today is about celebrating everything they have achieved and I am looking forward to what they will do next”.
The Class of 2026 have combined their studies with a huge range of activities beyond the classroom, contributing to sport, music, drama and voluntary work throughout their time at CHS. Their next steps reflect an equally broad range of interests and ambitions, from Degree Apprenticeships and sporting opportunities in the U.S. to courses in the creative arts, fashion and musical theatre, alongside Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science.
