Art 2 Buy Scheme
Cheadle Hulme School has a long history of artistic excellence and is passionate about nurturing a love of art in all of our pupils.
Every year, our talented GCSE and A Level Art students produce outstanding pieces of art that demonstrate high levels of skill, complexity, imagination and beauty. Their artwork has previously been snapped up by art-lovers at Manchester’s Buy Art Fair, and we would love to share our latest collection with our parents, Old Waconians and the local community and give our students’ creations the wider audience they deserve.
We are thrilled to offer you the opportunity to support the next generation of up-and-coming young artists by purchasing unique artworks. From wonderful watercolours to provocative pop art, we have a wide range of artwork that will brighten up any home or workplace – and, who knows, you could have the next Turner prizewinning artist on your wall!
Each piece is A2 size (594mm x 420mm), printed to ‘gallery standard’ and will come professionally mounted in a contemporary black box frame. All of our prints are UV stable and fade resistant over 75 years. The cost of purchasing a unique work of art is just £100, and all funds will go towards providing exciting artistic experiences for our students. Last year the scheme funded dress making workshops for students, amongst other projects.
As we constantly have new cohorts coming through, you can choose from a whole new collection of work each year. Finally, every business that purchases an artwork will be included in one of our School publications, which are distributed to all our parents, our global network of Old Waconians and friends of CHS.
You will receive:
- Unique artwork at a low price
- The opportunity to support up-and-coming local artists
- An ever-changing collection to choose from
- Invitations to art events at CHS
Our pupils will receive:
- A high profile platform to publicly display their work
- Tangible evidence to support college/university applications or employment
- Enhanced opportunities to learn from established artists funded by the scheme
Please note we do not give refunds or exchanges for any purchases as all payments are treated as a donation to the scheme
