Sixth Form

In the Sixth Form, students have the freedom to choose subjects that truly inspire them, take on new leadership and co-curricular opportunities, all while receiving tailored guidance towards their chosen university, apprenticeship or whatever path they choose to take beyond CHS.

We encourage all students to explore their interests through extension classes and in-depth projects such as the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), alongside their chosen courses. Small tutor groups enable students to fully engage with their subjects. Visit our  Sixth Form Curriculum pages.

When it comes to preparing for the step beyond CHS, our support programme is exceptional. Our tailored UCAS and careers advice  achieves exceptional results with more than 70% of our students securing places at their first-choice university over the past five years. A growing number of students also explore Degree Apprenticeship programmes and look to study abroad. Visit our Destinations page for more information.

Our broader offer

Beyond academics, our enrichment programme and pathways curriculum encourages students to explore their interests and career aspirations.

A weekly Beyond CHS lecture delivered by Old Waconians and various organisations exposes students to a range of topics and challenges, and through our Altruistic curriculum, our Sixth Formers actively participate in organising social and charity events, directing plays, leading whole-school social impact initiatives and numerous educational trips.

Joining Sixth Form

Approximately 20 students join our Sixth Form each year who quickly integrate into the year group through induction activities and social events, as well as a dedicated mentor to provide support and advice throughout their journey. For more details on our admission process and how to apply, please visit our Admissions pages

Current CHS pupils are not required to complete an application form or pay a registration fee to join the Sixth Form.
