GCSE Results Day 2022: Congratulations Waconians!

Well done to our Year 11’s who are welcomed back on site today to collect their GCSE Results. Our Year 11’s have put in a tremendous amount of hard work, and its definitely paid off! They’re now bringing their Senior School chapter to an end, and are striving towards new projects and goals.

(From left to right) Alex, Fergus, Ben and Harry are all smiles this morning! All boys are really please with their results and are staying at CHS for Sixth Form. Alex is studying Biology, Chemistry and Maths, Fergus is studying Business, Economics and Maths and Harry is studying Maths, Chemistry and Physics. Ben is choosing 4 options, and will be studying Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Further Maths. Well done boys!

Congratulations Maya on achieving exceptional results at GCSE! Maya will be continuing at CHS Sixth Form to study Maths , Biology, Spanish and Art! She says “I’m looking forward to improving and furthering my Spanish”. Maya also recalled her most memorable moment from Senior school, stating that the Year 9 Spanish Exchange has stuck with her! Maya is also camping this weekend to celebrate her results. Enjoy!

Finn (left) and Sam are both very happy with their results this morning! They are still deciding on their A Level choices, but are both very happy to be staying at CHS. They are both really looking forward to Sixth Form, and are especially excited about the sporting opportunities it has to offer. Congratulations boys!

Hana (left pictured with her sister and Mrs Gregory) is really pleased with her results this morning! She’s heading to Scarborough College to study the IB. She’s going to miss her friends at CHS, but is excited for what lies ahead! Congratulations Hana, and enjoy the celebrations!

Freddy and Joe are both ‘really chuffed’ with their results this morning. Freddy says he’s going onto sixth form to study Maths, History, Drama and Economics. Freddy, who has been in many drama productions, is looking forward to auditioning for the next Senior production of Blood Wedding.  Joe says he’s taking the STEM route, going on to study Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Great achievements boys, See you in September!

Well done Will who achieved a brilliant set of results, and says “it was never in doubt!”. Will is looking forward to Sixth Form and pursuing his love for Science, and is choosing the 4 subject option.

Scarlett is really happy with her results! She has recently completed work experience in a dentist surgery and he has ambitions to become a dentist, or even go on to University to study Medicine. Well done Scarlett!

Happy faces for these two! Not only have they done brilliantly well, but they secured Coldplay tickets! Double win! Lucy is staying at CHS Sixth Form with career ambitions to work in Engineering, whilst Gabriella is spending two years living independently at Wellington College. Well done girls!

Joe (left) and Archie are made up with their results! Both of them are ready to take on Sixth Form at CHS and all the Sports opportunities that come along with that! Congratulations boys!

When asked what they were most looking forward to about Sixth From, Joe said “I’m looking forward to the café” whilst Angus said “I’m looking forward to have a bit more freedom with my learning”. Freddy said “it will be great to narrow down my subjects and really focus on those I enjoy the most.” Enjoy Sixth Form boys!
