CHS Girls Shine at ISFA U11 National Football Finals
Big smiles from CHS’s Year 6 girls’ football team, who recently reached the semi-finals of the ISFA National Football Finals at St George’s Park, finishing the tournament joint 3rd in the country!
This marks the third consecutive year that CHS’s U11 girls have qualified for the national finals, and reached the semi-finals and beyond – a fantastic achievement which reflects the continued growth and quality of girls’ football at CHS.
Among many highlights from the day were three superb goals scored by Connie in Year 5, a string of crucial saves from the team’s inspirational captain, Zara, some outstanding defending from the whole squad and the non-stop support from our travelling band of family supporters.
Mr Kevin Offord, CHS Junior School Teacher and Girl’s U11 Football Coach said: “Every player contributed with energy, resilience and determination—showing true Waconian values in every match they played. It was a joy to witness their competitive spirit and commitment on display throughout the tournament.”
