CHS hosts successful Restless Development Triathlon

CHS recently hosted the Knight Frank Schools Triathlon, a major national fundraising event for young people. The school’s grounds and facilities were transformed to welcome over 540 young triathletes from 14 local schools, who swam, cycled, and ran for charity.

This marks the first time that CHS has hosted this event, which is organised by the global youth charity Restless Development. The triathlon is designed for young people, as children are invited to team up, get fundraising and compete in the three sports.

The day was a fantastic display of effort and community spirit, with participants collectively covering an impressive 1,700km. This challenge also saw the young athletes raise over £54,000 for Restless Development and other charities chosen by the participating schools.

Beyond the impressive athletic and altruistic feats, the triathlon was a powerful demonstration of our school values in action.

A huge thank you to our team of parent, staff and Waconian volunteers who gave their time to ensure the day ran smoothly, as well as all members of our community who fundraised for the chosen charities.
