Competitive Cricket is Back!

This weekend, competitive sports fixtures returned as boys and girls from Year 7 through to Sixth Form played Saturday cricket against Sedbergh. For the first time, the school had over 100 students take part in matches and the resounding feeling amongst staff and players alike was enjoyment of being back on the grass. Additionally, those students not selected for fixtures were also able to take part and enjoy either hard or soft-ball cricket lessons as the School continues to provide sporting opportunities for every child who is keen to be involved.

Mr Clinton, Head of Cricket said: “After missing 2020 due to lockdown, it is great to see enthusiasm for cricket at CHS remains strong and I’m thrilled to have been able to put out A and B teams at U12-U15 and two girls’ teams, including the first ever CHS Girls’ 1st XI.  Thank you to everybody who has supported us providing these opportunities.”
