Stockport Schools Success for CHS Football

CHS’s U12s A team are celebrating at the top of the Stockport Schools Football League!

Winning 5-1 in the final against Priestnall, CHS put in a prize-winning performance aided by goals from Koru Shawcross (3) and Ollie Aspin (2).

In the Stockport schools league competition there are 3 area leagues. CHS were the best runners up in their competition and went through to the final after beating league winners, St James’ School, 2-1 in the semi-final.

CHS Head of Football Mr Damien Allen said: “The boys actually reached the Stockport Schools Cup Final as well but were beaten on penalties by Reddish Vale so it was even more pleasing when they went on to win their other big game.”

The team have had a fantastic season, winning 18 games of 24 fixtures played this year.
