CHS named among Top 100 most inclusive organisations after achieving the Investors in Diversity Silver Award by the National Centre for Diversity.

We are thrilled to have been officially recognised as one of the UK’s top 100 most inclusive organisations after achieving the Investors in Diversity Silver Award by the National Centre for Diversity (NCfD).

The NCfD is the UK’s leading provider of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) accreditation, with its Silver Award marking the second of three stages for organisations committed to embedding inclusion at every level.

Our journey with the NCfD, which began in 2022, involved a detailed audit, staff, pupil and parent surveys and the creation of a tailored action plan, incorporating training and workshops for all staff alongside pupil assemblies, podcasts and talks open to the wider school community, designed to both celebrate and challenge.

Caroline Dunn, Senior Deputy: “I am so happy that CHS has received this recognition. Our intention has always been to embed the core principles of equality, diversity and inclusion in everything that we do; it wasn’t about achieving the award or a single initiative but about building a community where everyone truly feels they belong and are valued for who they are. The report offers valuable insights and recommendations that will guide and strengthen our work in the year ahead and beyond.”

Following a full re-assessment this year, CHS was awarded the Silver Award, recognising the meaningful progress made so far. Solat Chaudhry, Chief Executive of the National Centre for Diversity, said: “On behalf of the National Centre for Diversity, I would like to congratulate Cheadle Hulme School, their staff and stakeholders on the successful achievement of the Investors in Diversity Silver Award following the assessment process.”
