Financial Assistance
Widening access to a CHS education
Bursaries
Supporting talent
At Cheadle Hulme School, we are committed to making our education accessible to talented young people from all financial backgrounds. We are proud to have a long-standing tradition of providing financial assistance, ensuring more pupils can benefit from a CHS education.
We believe bursaries have a positive impact not only on an individual recipient but on the entire school community, helping to create a diverse environment that reflects the society our young people will go on to live and work in. When awarding support, we take into account a pupil’s academic performance and their potential to flourish in both the classroom and in co-curricular life.
Financial assistance is available for pupils joining our Senior School in Year 7 and Sixth Form, with awards ranging from 10% to 100% of the annual fee. Families awarded 100% assistance may also receive additional support with essential items such as uniform, a digital device and contributions towards trips to ensure every student can take part in all aspects of school life.
“Finding out I had been accepted into CHS on a full financial support was such a big game changer for me and my whole family. Even at age 11, I understood what this could mean for me and the rest of my life.”
Our 1 in 6 Bursary Initiative
Our 1 in 6 initiative underlines our commitment to widening access and increasing the number of bursary places available in the years ahead. This work aims to ensure that bursaries remain a central part of our school community and that more families who may benefit from support feel confident in exploring the opportunities available.
We warmly encourage any family considering CHS to speak with our Admissions team about the Financial Assistance opportunities.
