Modern Makeover for the Old Wac Tie

With a little help from Alex Wilcox, Class of 1982, the Old Waconian tie has undergone a make-over.

Alex is no stranger to designing ties. He and his wife Betty are the owners/designers of Lord Willy’s, a luxury men’s tailoring brand founded in New York City in 2005.

The store is considered one of the finest in the world and has been named so by both GQ and Esquire Magazines alike.

“I wanted to design a tie that didn’t just reflected the school’s classical heritage, but also its desire and ability to embrace the modern world,” said Alex, “I’m very happy with the result, it was a great honour”.

Featuring a solid midnight navy base, contrasting diagonal stripes in the school’s colours and an embroidered crest, the tie is made from the finest 100% silk (dry clean only).

This exclusive, luxurious design for CHS is now on sale for just £24. Money raised from tie sales will go back into the Bursary Fund.
